Banner Contest

Are you good with a painting program, would you like to help out Noukiesims 2, compete against others and win?

Welcome to the Noukiesims2 banner contest!

We need a new banner, guys. The current one is cute but it's too big for a lot of screen resolutions. Plus, it's the same old banner for months on end now. Plus, she's creepy.

Rules
- 200px high, 720px whide
- It should suit Noukiesims 2
- Use the same colourscheme
- If you don't want to use the same colourscheme you'd better add a really good reason for us to change our colorscheme for your banner! If you have one, go for it.
- Suitable for PG 13, but rather for all ages.
- No insulting stuff
- No paysite items whatsoever

Prize
- The winner will have their banner on Noukiesims2!
- You will have bragging rights!
- You will get to request a hair from Nouk and have it named after you. (Within Nouk's capabilities ofcourse.)

Dates
The banner contest starts now (June 11th) and ends then (Juli 11th).

How to post your banner
- Full size banner should be linked to, you can post a smaller version (max 600 whide).
- Description

I got 4 different ones ready, they're all similar though. This one is the best so far. Should I post them all? I can link them through photo bucket, so no bandwidth for you.

Verrrry nice guys! I'll give feedback at the end of the contest. You can change anything you like or upload even more if you'd like, allthough some of you have allready made alot :)  :glomp:
The reason the resolution looks bad is because the forum shrinks it to less than 600 whide, wich is the max size allowed on the forum. Since the real banner would be alot whider, it would be best to post the link and maybe make a small preview if you want people to see it immediately.

Hairs, eyes, eyeshadow, lipstick, and the woman's skin are all from Noukiesims. Eyebrows are from Adele, and the male skin's from SimCribbling.

Babbelsim i totally agree, i also feel male sims are under used for promoting fan sites, though some have male sim but amongst a bevvy of female sims. Guess they dislike male sims , oh well.........

Great entries everyone, i like them ALL! I am making one now, but i am a poor photoshopper but i am making one anyway. LOL *will post it in a bit LOL*

I have loved Noukiesims2 since I first visited there (and that was a LONG time ago), so I wanted to try this. Hope you like them. (:
I made two classy black/white-banners with green and cream flavors to suite it for the colorscheme.
I didn't use stuff from paysites; only from Noukiesims2 and MTS2. And those are Rensim's defaultbrowns.
Sorry for my not-so-amazingly-great English; I'm from Finland, I don't use English as my motherlanguage.

Actually, that would be doable! ... the "pick all of them" part, not the "make 450 hairs" part.
If I recall, there's a Wordpress plugin that lets users decide what theme they want- or if that wouldn't work out, you can set up skins with PHP. I've done it before for my own site, but it's been a while, so I'm a bit rusty.
But if that's something you want to look into after the contest is over, I could probably help you with it.

I'd like to enter, and I've been meaning to enter since the day the contest was announced, but I haven't gotten to it yet. I hope I don't forget to!

I unfortunately wasn't able to get a picture with NS items, but all the items displayed are free. The Sim is Catherine, my tribute to my old Barbie doll. Since she's my favorite Sim, I decided to put her in the banner. Hope everyone likes :)

You could open a voting poll on forum or site and visitors would vote for the best banner if you can't decide =)
And if 2 or more banners would get the same biggest number of votes, another poll would be open, including just these banners.
And so on and so on, until we'd get a total winner.
That's just my idea, though. Because I know decissions would be hard. But Nouk, if you can't decide, you can also not vote and leave that to visitors!!! xD
Anyways. Do what you wanna do =)
If you REALLY REALLY REALLY can't decide, you could code the site the way that everytime it refreshes, it displays a different banner =)
I'm not sure if such plugin exsists for Wordpress, but probably yes, because at least in HTML it's really simple to code that =)
Okay I should stop now.
One more thing... EVERYONE'S BANNERS ARE AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!

Uh-oh that's not cool if the graphics are someone elses, ksc07... I suggest you start over with something you took in your own game...  Unless endersgirl says it's ok, but then it's still only part your creation.


I love the suggestion of switching banner on reload. I think we should add the top 5 into this system :)

I really don't mean to be a bummer, but I don't appreciate that you used that image of my sim without permission or at least credit. I'm no longer active at S2C, but it's still not nice, you ought to have asked someone you knew was active if you could use their image... :(

That aside, I'd love to try and make a banner, and all of them so far look wonderful. So I'll be editing later ;)

Sorry about that guys. I was indeed in Greece and I KNEW I forgot to take care of something. :ugg :ugg :ugg :ugg :ugg

The new layout is pretty different from the old one, but with some css changing and image changing on my part, it will be suitable for the winner's banner! http://www.noukiesims2.net/tiny/index.php (As you see it's completely empty.)

Top 5 will be posted as soon as possible. The winner will get to choose a hair, the rest will have a hair named after them :)
